How we store and delete transcripts

Effective from 13 October 2026

A transcript holds the words of someone who never signed up for anything: the person you interviewed. We treat it that way. This page says what happens to a transcript once you give it to us. The legal details are in the privacy policy of the app.

What we store

  • Free grade, without an account:your email address, the transcript and the report. Your browser marks each line as the interviewer’s or the interviewee’s before it reaches us, so we never receive speaker names. The words themselves are stored as they are, so remove names and company details before you upload.
  • An interview you upload in your account: the same, kept as a session in your account, together with its scorecard.
  • Team steps: the interviews your team brings. A data processing agreement comes with every team step, in which ProductMicrobe BV is the processor and you are the controller. You can also start with a practice round or an interview with a colleague, which needs no customer data at all.

Where it goes

The database is at Supabase and the site runs on Vercel. To write the report, the transcript is sent to Anthropic. They do not train their models on it, and neither do we. We share it with nobody else except the providers in the privacy policy, and with courts or regulators when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Free grade, without an account: a nightly job deletes the transcript and the report 30 days after the upload.
  • In your account: for as long as the account is active. If you close it, we delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, unless the law makes us keep something.
  • Team steps: we agree the retention with you in the data processing agreement.

Having a transcript removed

Email us and we remove it, earlier than the periods above. If you are the person who was interviewed and want your words removed, write to us too. Email info@productmicrobe.com and we reply within 30 days.
